Competition
Our competition teams offer a higher level of involvement for students who desire to work with a greater level of dedication. The teams improve skills with additional hours of class and the opportunity to compete in a team environment. They build character, instill self-esteem, responsibility, self-discipline, commitment and leadership skills. We offer 3 different competition teams - Dance, Baton, & Hip Hop.
Click on the tabs below for info pertaining to each team.

Please know that these decisions are not easy for us, and that they are made with each student’s best interest in mind. While we understand that these results may be disappointing, we hope that they are not discouraging. We want all of our students to have the best experience possible, whether it be as part of the Competition program or not. We encourage you to keep practicing, keep performing, and we hope to see you at tryouts next year!

The Competition Baton Team's structure will look a little different this year!
Instead of assigning twirlers to official teams (aka Preteen Team, Senior Team), twirlers MAY be moved around from one group to another. We will name this structure as a "Competition Baton Company". As with any change, we understand there may be some confusion and concerns on how this will work and why we are making this change. We hope the below explanations help. However, we will also hold a parents meeting the first night of practice, which is required and even more important to attend to get any questions on this change answered.
Why?
1. NBTA (National Baton Twirling Association) has Competition requirements on the minimum number of twirlers that are needed on a team. As most of you may be aware, many of the senior team members last year graduated. Therefore, depending on the routine, we may need to move twirlers around to address this requirement. However, we also want twirlers to have opportunities to twirl with girls their age as that is a fantastic way for them to become friends.
2. We want all twirlers to be appropriately challenged with their twirling skills. This will give us an opportunity to make sure everyone is challenged/ learn new skills.
3. If there are injuries or reasons twirlers can't compete, we would like to be able to pull in alternates.
How will this work?
We will rework AC/DC from last year to bring the whole company together. From there, each twirler will have two dance twirls, one for competition and one for community performances. The dance twirls is where moving of twirlers will occur as the year goes on.
We'd like to congratulate the following twirlers on joining the company!
Mackenzie Crees
Grace Ferrel
Emersynn Harter
Maddie Hauswirth
Abby Kraska
Alison Lester
Amelia Penisten
Briar Quail
Kennedy Robbins
Brooklynn Sedlock
Landry Tobey
Practice
Practice is still TBD. The studio is leaning towards Wednesday's or Tuesday's pending location, so this is still subject to change. We will send out a separate email with time breakdowns once we know the location.
Please bring questions and concerns to the parents meeting the first night of practice. We want to do our best to ease concerns and your input may bring up aspects of this that we need to consider some more. Please understand there have been many discussions on this and we feel this is the best way we can reach our goals for the twirlers.
Thanks to all who auditioned!
