Covid-19 Update

MASK POLICY - May 20, 2021

Hello Superstars Families,

We are aware of the new legislation passed last night regarding mask mandates, and we know you are probably questioning the studio’s position. The Superstars position since the beginning of the pandemic has always been to keep our students, their families, and our staff safe. Since we are a private business, we have made the decision to continue requiring masks until the end our season next week. While our staff is fully vaccinated, the majority of our students are under the age of 12, and therefore not yet eligible for the vaccine. Since we only have one more week of classes left, we feel it is in everyone’s best interest to stay the course with our current protocols through the end of the season. It would be truly devastating to be so close to the end of our season, and have an exposure that could potentially eliminate the opportunity for the kids to perform on stage.

The new legislation prevents mask mandates in Kindergarten through 12th grade schools. We are not yet sure what this means for our recital. The original agreement we signed with the school limits audience members, and also required masks for all audience members and performers. We have contacted the school to see if this new legislation will change any of these guidelines and restrictions. As soon as we hear anything from them, we will let you know immediately. We will consider any potential changes from the school, but will also discuss as a studio what potential requirements we feel are best for the recital.

Again, the safety of our students, their families, and staff is our top priority at the studio. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in advance as we conclude our regular season next week. We will continue to keep you updated on any changes to limitations for our recital once we hear back from the school.

Thank you!,
Superstars Staff

IMPORTANT UPDATE AS OF 11/17/2020

Hello Superstars Families -

We have received clarification from the Governor’s Office that her newest proclamation does NOT apply to the studio. Because we are a small business and are taking the necessary safety precautions, we are allowed to continue operating. However, since all of this happened so fast and at the last-minute, we feel it is best and easiest to still cancel classes for the evening, and we will resume classes as normal starting Wednesday, November 18. We apologize for the confusion, as it certainly wasn’t our intention and this was not an ideal situation to be put in. We are, however, very excited that we can resume classes as normal. We will continue to be committed to keeping our students, their families, and our staff safe by continuing our safety protocols. This includes masks for all students and staff while they are in the studio and in class, temperature checks, hand sanitizer upon entering and exiting the building, and continued cleaning of the studio on a regular basis. We also will continue to only allow students in the building for the time being, and students will only be allowed in a few minutes before their class time.

Thank you again for your understanding, support, and patience as we navigate these unprecedented times and what the new guidelines mean for the studio.

Stay safe & healthy and we will see you again soon!
